This project was created to highlight the defining characteristics of CoFo Raffiné and celebrate its expressive, unconventional qualities. Rather than treating the typeface as a neutral communication tool, I approached it as a character! CoFo Raffiné feels like a sophisticated, aged glass of wine to me.
Design Process
Based on the analysis and research of the font, I explored how to visually amplify these qualities through motion and animation. My goal was not simply to animate the type, but to emphasize its features! Mood boards were used to help aid the visual style, piggy-backing off what the amazing type designers have done already.
Multiple storyboard rounds were developed to refine shots and compositions.
